LESSON PROBLEM: Pick This, Not That

It is important to eat foods that are good for us. Foods that are good for us give us energy to play and to learn in school.


good food

Foods that are good for us are fruit like apples and bananas, vegetables like carrots and peas, dairy like milk and cheese, whole grains like brown rice and protein like meat and chicken. These foods have vitamins and make us strong and healthy. We should choose these often.




bad food

Foods that we should only choose sometimes - after we eat foods that are good for us - are sweets like candy, cake and cookies and snack foods like chips. These foods do not have many vitamins and too much of them can make us fat.
